FORSEE Canada (“FORSEE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an independent registered non-profit charitable foundation (CRA Registration No. 798255337RR0001). We are committed to protecting the privacy of our donors, volunteers, scholarship applicants, event participants, and website visitors. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your rights, in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Information we collect
We collect personal information only when you choose to provide it, including when you make a donation (name, email, mailing address, and payment details processed securely by our third-party payment processor); sign up for our newsletter (email address); submit a volunteer, student ambassador, or Specs for Sight request form; register for or inquire about an event; or contact us by email or phone. We also collect limited technical information automatically through our website (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) via cookies and analytics, subject to your consent.
How we use your information
We use personal information to process donations and issue tax receipts; communicate with you about your donation, volunteer role, application, or event; send newsletters and updates only with your consent (which you may withdraw at any time); operate, improve, and secure our website and programs; and meet our legal, regulatory, and charitable-reporting obligations, including Canada Revenue Agency requirements. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Payment processing
Donations are processed by a secure third-party payment provider. FORSEE does not store full payment card details on its own servers. Your payment information is handled in accordance with the provider’s security and privacy practices.
Disclosure to third parties
We may share personal information with service providers who help us operate (for example, payment processing, email delivery, and website hosting), who are bound to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to us. We may also disclose information where required by law.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, or modification. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law (for example, donation records retained per CRA requirements).

Under PIPEDA, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time (every email includes an unsubscribe link, per CASL); and ask questions or make a complaint about how we handle your information.
