FORSEE Canada is a registered Canadian charity that funds research, trains emerging eye care leaders, and delivers vision care to underserved communities — locally in the Greater Toronto Area and globally through remote surgical missions.
Founded in 2019 by ophthalmologists Dr. Eric Tam and Dr. Sohel Somani, FORSEE Canada bridges the gap between academic research and real-world impact. Our primary affiliated clinical network is U Vision Group, one of the GTA’s largest integrated eye care providers.

FORSEE Canada was born from a simple observation: the patients who needed care most were often the hardest to reach, and the young clinicians most passionate about serving them had few pathways to get involved. Co-founders Dr. Eric Tam and Dr. Sohel Somani set out to change that — building a foundation that connects clinical excellence with community need.
